Sourcing Excellence for Leading KSA Technology Company

Context:

A leading security and technology firm in Saudi Arabia needed to optimize its category sourcing strategy, implement category management best practices and upskill their sourcing teams. 

What we did:

TransformationX conducted a comprehensive internal and external analysis, including historical spend analysis, demand forecasting, supply market research to develop a detailed category strategy. We then engaged over 150 suppliers across 14 categories, to drive category management excellence and sourcing optimization. We trained more than 100 people through capability-building workshops including on advanced Gen-AI topics.

What was achieved:

• Achieved cost savings of approximately 600M SAR across categories
• Implemented category management best practices, sufficiently fine-tuned for KSA Public Sector context
• Engaged 150+ suppliers across 14 categories.
• Successfully built sourcing and category ownership capabilities within the organization.
• 10-35% price reduction achieved through supplier negotiations.
